South Bank, Withington

RCA, acting on behalf of David Wilson Homes were tasked with seeking pre-application advice, attending the public consultation, preparing, submitting and managing this application for 69 dwellings, including a large area of public open space, SUDS and 35% affordable housing.  The scheme is nearly complete and provides a wide range of homes including bungalows and starter homes. The application took 7 months to determine and involved a number of changes to the design and layout to accommodate feedback. RCA presented the scheme to planning committee with an officer recommendation to approve and gained almost unanimous support from Committee Members as a result of strong arguments made, highlighting the myriad benefits of the proposals, whilst demonstrating how hard both the applicants and the Council’s officers had worked to achieve what resulted in an excellent scheme.
