RCA have been instructed by a major housebuilder to submit an application for 223 new dwellings, including improvement of the existing access and the provision of green infrastructure at Land at Hall Green Road, West Bromwich.
The site, which measures approximately 8.59 hectares is situated to the north of Hall Green Road and is bound by Tame Valley Canal to the north, with a sudden change in levels at this part of the site, dropping down to the canal. There is also a large expanse of open space at the northern extent of the site which has been created through the proposed layout, which also has a positive impact in retaining the sense of place felt close to the canal. There are also areas of more expansive planting at the west of the site, which will also mitigate any risk associated with the nature of adjacent industrial premise, showing regard for the potential harm associated with noise and air quality pollution.
The site will be made up of a mix of 2, 3 & 4 bedroom detached, semi-detached and terraced homes
