RCA have secured detailed planning permission for the delivery of 49 new homes for Spitfire Bespoke Homes Ltd as part at the redevelopment of the Former North Leamington School, a Major Development Site within the Green Belt. This site was constrained by issues surrounding financial viability and national Green Belt policy. RCA prepared and submitted a detailed development appraisal and viability case with the application, resulting in a reduced quantum of 11% affordable housing being included within the proposals, enabling the viable redevelopment of the site. This bespoke development by Spitfire has been designed to a high specification, reflecting the local architectural vernacular of this sought-after spa town destination. Properties range from 2 – 5 bedrooms and we are delighted to hear that construction has now started on site, following the demolition and removal of the previous, asbestos contaminated, school buildings. We can’t wait to see the finished product!
