Abberley Common, Worcestershire

Outline planning consent was gained for a 26 unit residential scheme, incorporating affordable units on a greenfield site on the edge of the village of Abberley Common. RCA co-ordinated the work of a number of consultants and prepared a planning application with supporting statements. The process of gaining consent involved an initial refusal and a planning appeal which was dismissed on a technicality before permission was finally given on a re-submitted application. This process demonstrated that persistence is often necessary in planning, especially where one is sure of the case for development!  Aurora are now in the process of securing a reserved matters consent, with guidance from RCA. We look forward to seeing the finished scheme.
