Outline planning permission was allowed at appeal for the construction of 2 dwellings on land adjacent to 2 Bell Villas, Derby Road, Doveridge. The application was originally refused by the Council due to concerns that the development would have a detrimental impact on the surrounding landscape. In an area that they considered to be highly sensitive to residential development.
The Inspector agreed with RCA that the proposals would be viewed within the context of the existing built form along Derby Road, despite being located outside of the settlement boundary for Doveridge.
