Current use of cookies and analytics
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are currently disabled. The website does not load their scripts, send them usage data or set their analytics cookies. The consent controls described below are ready for use when RCA activates the services on its public website. We will ask for a fresh choice when the tracking configuration changes.
Essential functionality
Essential technical data may be processed by the hosting service to deliver pages securely, prevent abuse and keep the website available. This functionality cannot be switched off through the website because it is required for the service to operate.
We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage under rca.cookie-consent.v1. This contains your choices, the time you saved them and the version of the tracking configuration. It contains no name, email address or consultation response. Your choice expires after 180 days, after which we ask again and keep optional tracking off until you choose.
Analytics services
Google Analytics 4: measures visits to eligible public pages to help improve website content. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. We do not send names, email addresses, form answers or consultation references as analytics events. Google’s first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, identify visits; this website configures them to expire after 180 days without extending their lifetime on each visit.
Microsoft Clarity: helps RCA understand page interactions through heatmaps and session recordings. Website content is marked for masking. Contact pages, all consultation pages, unknown routes and pages with URL query strings or fragments are excluded from both services. Clarity’s first-party cookies _clck and _clsk associate eligible page visits with a visitor and session. Cookie lifetimes are set by Microsoft; see Microsoft’s cookie information.
These services may process technical data such as browser and device information and network addresses. See our privacy policy for more information. No advertising service is enabled by these controls.
Accept, reject or customise
Accept permits both optional services when available. Reject keeps both off. Settings lets you choose Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity separately; both are off by default. Closing Settings without saving does not provide consent. Rejecting optional tracking does not affect access to the website.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Open Cookie settings in the footer on any page to change your choices. Save settings with a service switched off, or select Reject all, to withdraw consent. If tracking is running, the page reloads to stop it and removes accessible first-party analytics cookies. Changes apply to other open tabs of this website too. Withdrawal stops future tracking; it does not delete information already received by a provider. Third-party cookies on another provider’s domain cannot be deleted by this website; you can remove them in your browser settings.
If browser storage is unavailable, optional analytics stay off. Choices are specific to your browser and website domain.
