Drakes Broughton, Worcestershire

RCA Regeneration Ltd secured outline planning permission for 39 new dwellings on this greenfield site at Drakes Broughton, Worcestershire, following a successful hard-fought appeal, which was also subject to Judicial Review (JR). The proposals include a large area of public open space, sustainable urban drainage that will reduce surface water flooding on the site and beyond and detailed access arrangements. RCA added value through the public consultation process, which we coordinated, along with liaising with the officers of the council during the determination of the application. We also provided robust evidence at the appeal hearing and submitted a costs application on behalf of the client. The appeal was allowed and a full costs award was made in favour of our clients.  RCA also assisted the client when the JR was lodged by the council.
