Royal Oak Pub, Braithwaites Yard

RCA prepared and submitted two outline planning applications and an appeal, eventually resulting in consent for the residential development of land at Braithwaites Yard and the former Royal Oak Pub in the village of Hallow. Both sites are located to the west of the A443 covering just over 2 acres in total.  Braithwaites Yard was further constrained by being located in Significant Gap, but we managed to overcome this through the 5 year housing land supply arguments that we made.

The application was for 14 residential dwellings incorporating 50% affordable dwellings. From an early stage we engaged with the local authority and argued hard for the proposals.  The result was a planning permission, followed by a successful purchase and development by Horgan Homes who will be completing the developments shortly.
